Gladys Prince, Shirley Beyers, and Monica and Justin Youd toughed out the walk for cancer in loving support of those who have been affected by the deadly disease.
The Voice of the Cape 91.3 FM presenter Ashraf Kenny hosted his morning show, Sunday Live, from Harmony Park where the Boland Pink Walk for Cancer was held. Sub-council 8 chairperson Chantal Cerfontein commented on the importance of the event and encouraged walkers minutes before the race started.
About 2 000 walkers, both young and old, took to the streets to raise funds for Pink Drive.
