The Hottentots-Holland High School Drum Majorettes had a very exciting weekend on Saturday 25 and Sunday 26 February when they participated in their first drummies competition of the season. They achieved excellent results, obtaining first place in Flag group, second place in Baton group and first place in all of the Small Drill categories (including Leader, Sub-leader, Squad, Display and Overall). On Sunday the girls had the honour to perform in the closing ceremony for the ICC Women’s T20 World Cup finals. The drummies, who described this as a once in a lifetime experience, had a fantastic display, while the Ndlovu Youth Choir performed on stage.


On the weekend of 4 and 5 March Pavashe Muzokomba

On the weekend of 4 and 5 March Pavashe Muzokomba of Hottentots-Holland High School, who is also the school’s athletics captain, performed excellently at an athletics meeting in Paarl. He received gold medals for both his 100?m (11,03 seconds) and his long jump (7,25?m) at the Boland Centra Athletics Meeting. He also walked away with a silver in the 200?m.
