Lwandle police are on the lookout for suspects who are believed to be involved in a murder case.
Sergeant Mthokozisi Gama, spokesperson for Lwandle police, confirmed police detectives were requesting the public’s assistance in locating two suspects involved in a murder committed in Asanda Village on Thursday 13 July.
“Two unknown suspects fired several shots at a 42-year-old woman before fleeing the scene,” said Gama.
He mentioned police were alerted and on entering the scene of the crime they found the victim lying in a pool of blood.
“The wounded woman was transported to hospital, but unfortunately pronounced dead on arriving at the medical facility,” added Gama.
A case of murder was opened at the Lwandle Police Station.
“Anyone who has information or knows the suspects involved are requested to contact Lwandle police detective, Captain Dhanabalan Pillay.
