Strand: Sunset Books implores avid knitters to get their needles clicking as part of a fundraising knit-along, Threaded with Love – Knitting with a Purpose, hosted at 9 Heineke Street every Saturday at 10:00. Participants will get together to knit or crochet blanket squares and baby clothes for Tiny Feet, a non-profit organisation that helps abandoned and orphaned babies. Strand: The Sectional Title Association Strand (Stas) invites all owners and tenants, or any other interested parties, to its annual general meeting to be held in the Strand North Dutch Reformed church hall in Brand Street at 18:00. The purpose of the meeting is to discuss the management report, proposed changes to the constitution, approval of audited financial statements for 2022-’23 and the proposed budget for 2023-’24 as well as the appointment of the auditor and the election of committee members. Stas has extended an invitation to Alderman JP Smith, Mayoral Committee for Safety, as guest speaker to deliver the keynote address. Ward 83 councillor Carl Punt will also be in attendance and available to answer any questions. Admission is free.
