Somerset West: Helderberg Academy of Theatre is bringing the divine musical Sister Act to The Playhouse Theatre stage. The heavenly theatre production, based on the hit 1992 film of the same name, is a must-see that uplifts the spirit and warms the soul with music by the acclaimed Alan Menken and songs inspired by Motown, soul and disco. Disco diva Deloris’ life takes a surprising turn when she witnesses a murder. Placed under protective custody she is hidden in the one place she shouldn’t be found, a convent.
