In the spirit of election fever, my vote goes to the people whose slogan is “We colour your world”. They had definitely turned my Monday Blues into a rainbow with tints of joy, gratitude and pigments of appreciation and customer satisfaction.
Busy with renovations, I went to the local hardware store to get some paint materials to give the interior a facelift. I found the preferred colour paint and quickly got on with the job.
Unfortunately, it ended in a disastrous affair. In my haste and blissful ignorance I forgot to check if it was suitable for interior surfaces.
After licking my wounds (suffering the loss of paint, time, effort and payment of painters) I went back to the hardware store, explaining my predicament and accepting full responsibility.
Painting the blues away, the manager gave me the cold shoulder, stating I have used all the paint, but I am free to purchase paint on promotion.
Unhappy with the customer service, I sent an email to Plascon Customer Service. I was almost immediately contacted by their representative, and after two phone calls I was sorted out with complimentary paint.
I didn’t take the action to score a freebie; as a customer I wanted to be heard and understood. Many thanks to the Plascon Customer Service team, which is an asset to the company and well-placed in the customer department.
At the end, the hymn “He looked beyond my fault and saw my need”, resonated so well with this specific case. I say: “Plascon for Paint Power”.
