The Helderberg Hospices shop in Fagan Street, Strand, has recently undergone a makeover, and is quite unmissable. The shop is one of a couple in the community that fulfils a very important role by converting donations of gently used pre-loved items into palliative care. The money raised by the shops helps to fund the team of nurses, doctors and social workers who care for those in the community living with a life-limiting illness. They bring comfort and dignity to all those needing care. Every donation made by the community makes a difference to those facing a difficult journey.

Customers were treated to a Valentine’s Day “Hunt the Discount” promotion, with discounts ranging from 15% all the way to 100%. Seen enjoying some chocolatey love on Valentine’s Day are branch manager Trudie Engelbrecht, and assistants Belinda Barends and Shedreck Pikanini.
