AWS receives ‘car boots-full’ of pet food

Julia Evans, manager of the Animal Welfare Society (AWS) Helderberg, accepted a welcome donation of much-needed pet food from Nick van der Westhuizen of Haval Helderberg, who opened his heart and car boots to the plight of the organisation. “Running an animal [welfare] organisation is always a challenge,” she pointed out. “And while there are many things such an organisation can go without, food is not one of them. To this effect Nick was kind enough to organise a fundraiser, purchasing several vehicle-loads of food for our society. We are truly indebted to donors for their generosity.” Evans further expressed a heartfelt thanks to all AWS supporters, who stay true to the cause not just through the difficult seasons but throughout the year.
