Comedian Kurt Schoonraad presents a comedy show about the funny side of a culture clash, Living with a German. The show will be staged at The Playhouse Theatre in Somerset West on Friday 5 April at 19:00. As if cohabitation between a man and woman isn’t difficult enough, throw two contrasting cultures into the complex mix in the multi-cultural epicentre that is Cape Town and you have a laugh-a-minute show. In the context of the current international obsession with who’s right and who’s wrong dominating the media, the show seeks to demonstrate that all human beings are, at their core, the same, regardless of skin tone, language, nationality or ideas about appropriate footwear. It is because of our differences that we have so many commonalities to celebrate. This reflects Schoonraad’s personal understanding of life, which he seeks to show through his uniquely accessible comedy-style. Tickets at R180 can be booked via Quicket.
