Police visibility stepped up

Grabouw police, in partnership with members of the Community in Blue initiative and other crime-fighting role-players, were out in full force over the weekend, in a bid to curb the recent spate of armed robberies in the Grabouw Central Business District. Police officers executed vehicle control points (VCPs) and searched a large number of vehicles for weapons and other illegal items such as drugs. Members of the Community in Blue project also assisted the police with foot patrols to ensure higher police visibility.
