The City of Cape Town kick-started the collection of a comprehensive household survey across various neighbourhoods in March, aiming to gather valuable insights into the social and economic conditions of our communities.
With the survey period concluding at month-end (May), residents are encouraged to participate in the initiative. The survey has achieved significant progress, with more than 50% of the targeted 10 000 interviews already completed.
Interviews are being conducted in several areas for the next two weeks, including Somerset West.
Residents who have not yet been interviewed are urged to participate when surveyors come knocking. Your insights are essential for the City to address the needs and priorities of diverse communities effectively.
“This survey is instrumental in helping the City of Cape Town make informed decisions regarding the redesign or scaling up of our programmes and services,” said Mayor Geordin Hill-Lewis. “By participating, residents are actively shaping the future of their communities and contributing to the improvement of service delivery.”
