Robert Sobukwe Nursing Academy (RSNA) wishes to congratulate all students who graduated on Saturday 8 June in Parow, where more than 400 students from RSNA campuses in the Helderberg, Goodwood, Khayelitsha, Mitchells Plain and Worcester attended the graduation ceremony.

“We also congratulate the community of Helderberg for their continuous support making the RSNA their choice of institution for their training. For the past two years we are proud to have created 300 full-time and relieve employment opportunities for our students in the Helderberg region,” said Shakoor Vallie, the Helderberg campus manager.

He added that graduates are employed all around the Helderberg as far as Hermanus.

“This is mainly due to our students’ commitment and positive attitude towards their studies making it possible for employment opportunities. We are also grateful that health care facilities in the region have opened their doors to allow our students to do their practical training at their facilities. We commend the Helderberg Society for the Aged, Huis Jan Swarts, Sencit and Esperanza Home as being the main providers of jobs,” said Vallie.

He also encourages unemployed youth to join the program that will definitely bring relieve for joblessness.

“Our target for this year is to create 100 more opportunities for the youth. This will directly impact many families in the region not to be dependent on hand-outs. RSNA currently joined hands with other community organisations to assist and help build our community especially the youth”.
