A special thanks goes to the wonderful residents at HSFA Mountview Frail Care, Joan Moen and Edith Hofmeyr, for their incredible dedication and generosity. Over the past few months, Moen and Hofmeyr have been tirelessly knitting beautiful crafts, which they have now graciously donated to Heartlands Baby Sanctuary. This heart-warming effort bridges the gap between generations, showcasing the kindness and creativity of elderly community members, and bringing joy to little ones at the temporary residential safe-care facility for children. Pictured (in front) are Joan Moen, Nazelle Speelman (HSFA Mountview nurse) and Edith Hofmeyr; (behind) Louise Henning, Adrienne Liebenberg (daughter of Edith Hofmeyr), Cecile O’Neil (HSFA operations manager), Nikki Bower (Heartlands Baby Sanctuary sustainability, marketing and events coordinator), Sharon MacMillan (daughter of Joan Moen) and Hanlie Theron (Frail Care Unit manager).
