Visit Vergelegen Wine Estate’s exquisite International Camellia Garden of Excellence, currently in full bloom with vibrant pink, white and red flowers, on Friday 26 and Saturday 27 July. Join a team of expert horticulturists for an engaging and informative talk about these stunning blooms. After the talk, relax with a slice of cake or a scone and your choice of coffee or tea at the Rose Terrace Tea Room. The International Camellia Garden of Excellence is one of only 39 in the world and the sole representative in Africa. Currently, the estate boasts over 550 different species including its very own Vergelegen varieties. The tour and talk starts at 14:00 at the Tasting Room and ends at 16:00 on both days. Tickets cost R250 per person and include an informative talk with Vergelegen horticulturists Richard Arm and Chris Randlehoff, entry to the estate, a slice of cake or scone with a coffee or tea at Rose Terrace Tea Room and a wine-tasting voucher for two. Should the weather be unfavourable, the event will move to the following weekend.
