Keen cyclists who are not able to participate in the 47th edition of the popular Cape Town Cycle Tour on Sunday 9 March, can still enter race’s Prelude Challenge. The challenge offers riders a way to earn their official finisher status from anywhere in the world. Those selecting this option have from Saturday 22 February to Sunday 2 March 2025 to complete 109?km in a single ride within seven hours. This ride can be done outdoors or on a stationary bike in a virtual environment. All you have to do is upload your ride to Strava, and you’re in. All finishers will receive a medal and official recognition in the 2025 results. Cape Town-based riders can collect their race pack, medal, and goodie bag at the Cycle Tour Expo, while out-of-town or international riders will have their medal sent to them. This is the perfect option for those abroad, travelling, or tied up with work or religious commitments to join the Cape Town Cycle Tour family, wherever they may be. Prelude Challenge entries cost R500 each
