Helderberg International High School held its first election for a student representative council on Friday 8 November. The election process was an experiment in democracy, an opportunity to educate the high school learners about the democratic process of voting and electing representatives. Election day was a great success, with the principal Andre Swart (right) and teacher Dr Alan Meyer also casting their votes. The objectives of the council are to represent the voice of the high school learners regarding school matters and to develop unity and school spirit among the learners.Foto:
