Firefighters put out a raging vegetation fire that had broken out along Victoria Street, Somerset West. According to Edward Bosch, spokesperson for the City Of Cape Town’s Fire and Rescue Services, firefighting crews responded to the incident after noon on Tuesday (8 March). “The call was received at 12:30 and two firefighting vehicles and seven firefighters were dispatched to the area where vegetation was on fire,” he said. “Firefighters took just over two hours to extinguish the fire, for which the cause is unknown.”Photo: Terzel Rasmus-Williams
