Organisers of the iconic Berg River Canoe Marathon this week confirmed that the event will return to its traditional date on the first week of July, with the 61st running of the four-day race from Paarl to Velddrif set to take place from Wednesday 6 to Saturday 9 July.
The 60th anniversary edition of the 240 km race was successfully staged a month later than usual last year against the backdrop of Covid-19 regulations.
