The Score Forward Legends were crowned the Pro Series kings of the 2022 Six Gun Grill Hot Summer of Touch after a gruelling but exciting series, which ran on beaches along the Western Cape coastline from Sunday 4 to Friday 30 December. It all came down to the outcome of the Stilbaai leg of the tournament on Boxing Day (Monday 26 December), which went down to the wire, with Score Forward Legends and Team Composure on the hunt for the series win on 42 and 40 points respectively. In the end, though, the more experienced Score Forward Legends edged out Team Composure by 1-0 to take the crown and bragging rights for the next year. Both finalists truly set themselves apart from the rest of the pack, each winning three titles in the six-event series. It was, however, the runner-up points that helped the Score Forward Legends over the line. They appeared in all but one final, being runners-up in just two events – Kleinmond (Sunday 18 December) and Struisbaai (Friday 23 December).
