Impossible is a mind-blowing spectacular that showcases the jaw dropping skills of more than 50 talented youngsters and graduates of the College of Magic in Claremont, from grand illusion to comedy, juggling, sleight-of-hand and daredevil stunts.
The whole family is invited to join South Africa’s “Hogwarts”, which is world-famous for creating astonishing family experiences and intriguing worlds of mystery, magic and illusion over its 43-year history.
Its wonderworkers are gearing up for a spectacular live experience – a “must-see” show taking place next month (June).
A special highlight will be a first for the Artscape stage, a modern recreation of Houdini’s suspended, death-defying, upside-down straitjacket escape.
Exceptional performers have been showcased all over the world, from Austria, China and Italy to a recent 60 Minutes feature on prime-time TV in the United States.
This non-stop show is packed with thrilling and sophisticated modern magic, ready to excite and inspire young and old.
“With the success of The Magic Key last year we’re using the same creative impetus in creating an entirely new show with Impossible,” said College of Magic Creative Director Chad Findlay. “Firmly rooted in South Africa, the show is an experience that is on par with international magic shows. I’ve no doubt that everybody attending will be entertained and surprised.
“The magical experience starts from the moment you arrive at the theatre with special performances, photo opportunities and other ‘happenings’ taking place in the foyer before the show and during interval. The show is sure to have young and old applauding loudly and believing in magic once again.”
Impossible is running for four shows at 15:30 and 19:00 on Saturday 3 and 12:00 and 15:30 on Sunday 4 June at Artscape Theatre.
Tickets ranging from R125 to R150 each are available from WebTickets. There is a “family special” with four tickets available for just R500.
