Helderberg Village Golf Club hosted its annual charity golf day on Thursday 13 July in aid of Farm Paws Raithby. Forty players consisting of 32 women from Helderberg Golf Village and surrounding golf clubs and eight male golfers participated during the day and came on board to increase numbers. A warm, sunny day started with a putting competition that attracted 29 golfers trying for a hole-in-one on the practice putting green. At the end of the day Helderberg Village Golf Club managed to raise R25 000 for the Farm Paws (Raithby) Charity and Pack Leader Pet Products will donate R10 000 of its products to the charity as well. Maureen Moses, Sibelli Peters, Rene Stryk and Deidre Fell enjoyed a good round of golf for a worthy cause.
