During the September school holidays learners from Curro Somerset West toured Durban with the Northern District Schools Football team to compete in the South African Schools Combined Football Association Festival (Sascfa). The learners were selected to represent and play in the u-13 Western Province A and B teams.
The Western Province A team was led by Curro Somerset West learner Nicholas as captain with coach Alcardo as head coach.
The team achieved second place in the tournament, with the B team clinching third place. Nicholas was also awarded top scorer in the A team with three goals.
