The Latter Rain Mission church in Firgrove hosted a careers day to coincide with Youth Month on Saturday 8 June.
The Youth Career Day was designed to provide youngsters with the guidance and resources necessary to make informed decisions about their future profession, which included interactive workshops where industry experts led discussions and offered insights and practical advice on pursuing various careers.
There were also networking opportunities, enabling young people to connect with professionals and organisations, establishing valuable contacts for the future. “In alignment with Youth Month’s objectives, this event represented a crucial step in fostering a generation of informed, motivated and career-ready young individuals,” organiser Joy Oldale said.
She said the Latter Rain Mission church served the Firgrove community through various outreach programmes and initiatives. “Our mission is to provide spiritual guidance, support and resources to individuals and families, empowering them to lead fulfilling lives.”
