Former captain of the Young Bafana u-18 soccer team, Eyona Ndondo, who was born and raised in Strand, recently travelled to Germany for a professional trial. The Young Bafana academy graduate has already spent a month on a trial at German squad VfB Lübeck. Eyona spent his u-12 to u-18 years with Young Bafana before moving on to captaining Cape Town City in the Diski League and making his debut for the PSL in 2020.
