James Albanie, Jacques Gabriels and Ruben Matthews, all Helderberg Vikings Veterans players, represented Boland at the under-50 interprovincial tournament, which took place in Benoni, Gauteng from Tuesday 12 to Saturday 16 May.
While the Boland veterans’ team finished seventh out of eight teams in the tournament ultimately won by KwaZulu-Natal, Matthews delivered a standout individual performance, finishing as the competition’s leading wicket-taker with nine wickets.
