The Drama Factory in Strand is set to dazzle audiences this February with an exceptional line-up of entertainment spanning reggae rhythms, Broadway tributes and award-winning comedy.

Founder Sue Diepeveen says the programme is “jam-packed with top-class entertainment” designed to offer something special for every taste. The month kicks off with family-friendly theatre as Grommels takes the stage on Saturday 7 and 14 February, featuring Angelique Filter and Robert Hindley in an award-winning production aimed at reconnecting children with the natural world.

Music lovers are in for a particular treat with The Rivertones’ Reggae Night on Sunday 8 February, celebrating the genre’s global icons including Bob Marley, UB40 and Eddy Grant. The musical celebrations continue with Steve Graham’s tribute shows to Pink Floyd (Thursday 12 February) and his Monsters of Rock spectacular (Friday 13 February), featuring classics from Led Zeppelin, Queen and Dire Straits.

Lisa Bobbert channels Broadway’s original brassy broad in Ethel, a heartfelt musical cabaret tribute to Ethel Merman, on Friday 20 and Saturday 21 February.

Classical music enthusiasts can enjoy Classy Classics – Faces Of Love on Sunday 15 February, while Broadway fans shouldn’t miss Lisa Bobbert’s brilliant tribute Ethel on Friday 20 and Saturday 21 February, celebrating the legendary Ethel Merman. Comedy takes centre stage with Aaron McIlroy’s award-winning ADHD and the musical comedy Bump and Grind, both featuring McIlroy alongside Bobbert.

The month concludes with Wicus van der Merwe’s Afrikaans comedy and music evening on Friday 27 February and Ernesto Latino’s Latino Legends show (Saturday 28 February), promising passion and rhythm from across Latin America and the Mediterranean.
