Strand paddler Kira Bester (back) and her partner Dyllan Farrell paddled their way to victory in the mixed doubles race of the AJM Breede Canoe Marathon from Robertson to Swellendam on Sunday 7 September. Bester, the current women's world surfski champion, and Farrell finished day one ahead of the pack and extended their lead on the second day to wrap up a convincing victory against a strong field, ending 18 minutes ahead of Bester's regular doubles partner, Melanie van Niekerk, and Scheepers Schoeman.
