Talented young artist Kayla Rushin from Parel Vallei High School (PV) has earned top honours in a prestigious national competition, showcasing the exceptional creative talent emerging from the Somerset West school. The Grade 9 learner was named both grade winner and finalist in the 13th Young Artist Award competition, hosted by the National Eisteddfod Academy. Rushin’s outstanding artwork stood out in the fine arts drawing category of the competitive creative arts senior division (Grade 8 to Open). PV celebrated the achievement on its official Facebook page: “What a fantastic recognition of her talent, creativity and growth! Congratulations, Kayla, we are so proud of you!”
