Rheinmetall Denel Munition (RDM) unveiled the upgraded Macassar Community Centre in Macassar on Tuesday 6 May, marking a significant boost for local community skills development. The newly renovated centre will continue to provide the Macassar community with training, a space to update their resumes and support for employment applications. One of its core programmes focuses on basic computer skills training, equipping individuals with the digital literacy needed in today’s workforce. As part of the upgrades the centre has expanded its capacity and functionality, and introduced a new dedicated computer room for individuals who are actively job hunting but not enrolled in formal training. This provides uninterrupted access to online job portals and tools. Chris Janneke (facilitator at the Macassar Community Centre), Relebogile Diphoko and Dr Frank Dirksen (RDM CEO) participated in the ribbon- cutting ceremony for the newly renovated centre.
