Gordon’s Bay residents are advised to prepare for a full day without power this month, with Eskom set to carry out critical maintenance that will cut electricity across the suburb for 12 hours.
The planned interruption runs from 06:30 to 18:30 on Monday 21 September and will affect all residential areas in Gordon’s Bay. The maintenance is being conducted on Eskom infrastructure within the City of Cape Town’s distribution region.
The City urges residents to switch off appliances as a precaution against power surges when supply is restored. Electrical installations should be treated as live for the full duration of the work, as power could be restored at any time.
