South Africa’s popular Checkers Little Shop campaign is making its return for a fifth edition, this time featuring the largest collection to date with 46 miniature items designed to promote family entertainment away from screens.
The retail promotion, which runs exclusively for Xtra Savings members, kicking off today and running until 9 November, offers customers one miniature collectible with every R200 spent at Checkers stores, Checkers Hyper, Checkers Foods, and through the Checkers Sixty60 delivery service.
This year’s campaign introduces several new elements, including soft, rubbery miniatures that double as fidget toys and a brand-new board game included with every Collector’s Case purchase.

The collection features a mix of Checkers’ own brand products, including a miniature Sixty60 delivery bike and Simple Truth Coconut Water, alongside iconic South African heritage brands such as All Gold Tomato Sauce, Ouma Rusks, and Oros.
The accompanying 3-in-1 game board encourages active play for two or more players, combining mental challenges with physical activities like jumping and running in a race-to-the-finish format.
In line with growing environmental consciousness, each miniature is manufactured from a minimum of 80% post-consumer recycled materials, including repurposed water bottles, refrigerator components, and discarded swimming goggles.
The retailer has implemented a circular economy approach by installing in-store recycling boxes where customers can return unwanted or duplicate miniatures for proper recycling or repurposing.
The Collector’s Case, which includes the board game and die, is available at R99.99.
Customers who purchase any three participating Little Shop Competition products and use their Xtra Savings card will be eligible to win a five-night family trip to LEGOLAND Dubai for four people, valued at approximately R 224 000.
The campaign represents Checkers’ continued investment in customer engagement programs that combine retail loyalty with family entertainment and environmental responsibility.
