GAUTENG – An unidentified witness in the Madlanga Commission has been shot dead this evening in 7 Gauld Street, Brendhurst, Brakpan.
The shooting reportedly happened at about 21:37.
Brigadier Athlenda Mathe, national spokesperson for the SAPS has confirmed the incident, saying the police management was headed to the crime scene.
According to information, the slain victim, known only as witness D for protection at the commission, testified recently. His testimony detailed concealment of a body of a victim at a dam after a killing, and the alleged involvement of controversial EMPD chief Julius Mkhwanazi.
