The renowned Boschendal wine estate is set to transform into a winter wonderland next Monday evening as it hosts its highly anticipated Wine & Christmas Market on 15 December from 17:00 to 21:00.
Strategically scheduled on the eve of the 16 December public holiday, the festive gathering promises to deliver an enchanting start to the holiday season, combining Boschendal’s celebrated wines with live entertainment, gourmet food, and unique shopping opportunities.
At R220 per person, visitors will receive a comprehensive tasting experience including a souvenir glass, eight wine-tasting coupons, and a complimentary festive headband. The estate has embraced the spirit of giving by offering free admission to children, with one heart-warming condition: each young guest is encouraged to bring a small, wrapped gift labled for either a boy or girl to support local children in need during the holiday season.
“This year’s market offers an elevated celebration of the senses,” organisers stated, highlighting the event’s focus on creating memorable experiences for families and wine enthusiasts alike.
The market will feature an impressive array of food vendors serving everything from wood-fired pizzas and gourmet burgers to fresh sushi, crispy spring rolls, steamed bao buns, Mediterranean shawarmas, and indulgent waffles. A specially curated drinks selection will showcase Boschendal’s wine portfolio alongside a refreshing Limoncello and Gin Fizz stand.
For those seeking last-minute holiday gifts, the market will host numerous artisan vendors including Heidi Steck’s lifestyle clothing and jewelry collection, Spring Collection’s vintage Liberty fabric bags, MynhardtJ’s premium Christmas cakes, and luxury paper goods from Salt & Paper and Nap Kin Cole. Additional vendors will offer handmade Christmas decorations, artisan linens, and specialty rooibos tea.
