The Absa Run Your City Series will come to a close on Sunday 25 October when runners from across the country will take to the streets of Bloemfontein.
Kabelo Mulaudzi is targeting a podium finish after seven victories in the series and edging closer to his career goal of 10 wins in the series.

“Every win at the Absa Run Your City Series is extremely special to me and my coach, and it would be a fantastic end to a difficult year if I managed to win in Mangaung,” says Mulaudzi, reflecting on a challenging season during which he battled injury and only secured his first Absa Run Your City Series victory in Joburg last month – a far cry from 2025, when he won four of the five Absa Run Your City Series races.

That victory in “The City of Gold” on National Heritage Day was the Boxer Athletics Club top runner’s sixth career Absa Run Your City Series victory, placing him head and shoulders above his competitors as he seeks to become the first man to win ten Absa Run Your City Series races. Lining up at the sixth and final Absa Run Your City Series race of the 2026 season, the reigning SA 10 000m champion who clocked 14:01 to take fifth position at the Boxer Super Run 5k in Durban on Sunday 18 October, believes he is in the right shape to finish on top.
Also targeting a win is Glenrose Xaba, who has been a model of consistency in the 2026 Series. The South African Marathon record holder (2:22:22), took third position (32:13) at the Absa Run Your City Gqeberha 10K and second (31:38) in the Tshwane 10K in August, in what was the third fastest time of her career. She is aiming for a personal best on Sunday.
Limited entries for Sunday’s race in Bloemfontein are still available. The race starts at 07:00 in Sir George Grey Street at the exit of Grey College.
