NAMPO PARK, Bothaville – South Africa’s largest agricultural exhibition returns from 12 to 15 May under the theme “Resilience through Innovation”, addressing mounting pressures on producers from climate variability, rising costs and market uncertainty.
NAMPO Harvest Day 2026 will bring together producers, agribusinesses and the broader agricultural value chain at NAMPO Park outside Bothaville, showcasing technology and practical solutions for modern farming challenges.
“NAMPO Harvest Day remains the most important meeting point for agriculture in South Africa, especially at a time when producers are operating under increasing pressure. Resilience is no longer only about survival, but about the ability to adapt, make better decisions and remain sustainably profitable,” says Dr Dirk Strydom, managing director of NAMPO (Pty) Ltd.
Farmers face severe financial constraints
The event addresses severe financial constraints facing farmers, with fertiliser costs having risen 35% to 50% and fuel costs increasing 12% to 18%, forcing a shift toward precision technology, improved genetics and data-driven decision-making.
Due to recent foot-and-mouth disease outbreaks, no cloven-hoofed animals will be permitted at NAMPO 2026. The TAU Animal Feeds Livestock Arena will offer an adapted experience featuring non-risk animals such as horses, dogs and poultry under strict biosecurity measures. Breed societies will showcase livestock value through creative displays focusing on science and performance data rather than physical animals alone.

New product launches include vehicles and tractors, with AGCO showcasing the new Massey Ferguson 9S range and Volkswagen Group Africa featuring the new Caravelle plug-in hybrid. Technology demonstrations will include spray drones and other practical agricultural solutions.
The grounds continue expanding with new buildings, additional exhibition space on the northern side and more than 900 exhibitors, including international participation through Chinese and Italian pavilions. A new leisure area and the Six Gun Grill Country Hall provide additional refreshment options.
Rooi Rose returns
The Santam Agriculture Women’s Programme, in collaboration with Rooi Rose, returns with a programme featuring Hannon, Willem Botha, Amanda Strydom, Reandi Grey, Lizz Meiring, Susan Coetzer, John Rock Prophet and Hannes van Wyk.
Practical improvements include aviation fuel availability at NAMPO Park and an expanded shuttle service. The Standard Bank 4×4 track, Adventure 4×4 track and seed plots on the eastern side return, alongside the Nation in Conversation series addressing local and international agricultural topics.

The NAMPO 2026 app provides access to exhibitor information, improved navigation and interactive features for more than 900 exhibitors. OFM will broadcast live from the event, sharing traffic and route updates.
