JEFFREYS BAY – In a remarkable display of educational excellence, the Grade 12 Class of 2025 at Global Leadership Academy (GLA) has once again achieved an outstanding 100% National Senior Certificate (NSC) Matric pass rate, extending the school’s impressive streak of consecutive years with complete pass results.
A total of 87 Grade 12 candidates wrote the NSC examinations, achieving a combined total of 92 distinctions.
The class attained an overall average of 65.2% across all subjects, with strong subject averages including Life Orientation (80.52%), Dramatic Arts (75.67%), Visual Arts (73.89%), Information Technology (71.3%), Tourism (71.2%), and Mathematical Literacy (70.22%).
The school proudly recognised the top academic achievers of the Class of 2025:
Achuma Sogcwe placed first with an 84% average, achieving distinctions in Afrikaans First Additional Language (86%), Life Orientation (96%), Tourism (89%), and Life Sciences (84%).
Ian Schulz placed second with an 82% average, achieving 93% for Information Technology, 91% for Life Orientation, and 81% for Afrikaans First Additional Language.

Kaiser Bester placed third with an 81% average, achieving 95% for Business Studies, 84% for Tourism, 83% for Afrikaans First Additional Language, and 82% for Life Orientation.

Kiarah de Wet placed fourth with an 80% average, achieving 89% for Mathematical Literacy and Life Orientation, 86% for Visual Arts, and 84% for Afrikaans First Additional Language.

In terms of university access, 80 of the 87 learners achieved a Bachelor’s pass, enabling them to pursue further studies at universities, with the remaining seven learners achieving Diploma-level passes.
“In line with the school’s commitment to “making disciples and shaping leaders,” the school said in a statement that they continued to see confident, mature, and positive young people stepping into life beyond school.
“We congratulate every learner who persevered and extend our appreciation to our dedicated teachers and supportive families. Above all, we recognise these results as a gift from the Lord, received with humble and thankful hearts,” the statement said.
