KARIEGA – A 13-year-old girl from the Kamesh precinct in Kariega was allegedly sexually assaulted over the weekend, as confirmed by SAPS.
According to South African Police Service (SAPS) Captain Andre Beetge, a case of rape was opened on Saturday, 8 November 2025 regarding an incident that took place on Friday, 7 November 2025 in the Moeggesukkel area in Rosedale, Kariega.
The 13-year-old girl alleged that she was out consuming alcohol with friends when the incident happened.
He added that the case was opened by the victim’s mother.
“The case was opened by SAPS Kamesh and is being investigated by the Kariega Family Violence, Child Protection and Sexual Offences (FCS) Unit.”
