It was a winning weekend for three local boxers who took part in the White Collar Boxing Round 4.
On Saturday, December 16 Tuff Enuf Combat Club from St Helena Bay had three boxers competing in Somerset West. All three locals came back with medals and will be heading to the WP Grassroots MMA event in February 2024.
Tuff Enuf Combat Club also recently handed out certificates to the juniors. Special mention goes to Jerome Desaever who was named with the Fitness Champion 2023, male student of the year, award.
Lea “Cupcake” Desaever was named as the most improved female student. Lea “Rampage” Steenkamp will be team captain 2024, and received the Big Sister award for the way she takes the little ninjas under her wing.
Juvan Bruwer was the most improved male student. He will also be junior team captain next year and was voted teammate of the year. Kian Adams was this year’s most dedicated student.
Thanks to her sunny outlook Belle Hamilton was awarded with the most positive attitude award, and was the top female student of the year. The award for most weight loss, guts and glory award, went to Alex Hotzhausen.
