Wednesday (5 April) was the final day of World Travel Market Africa which took place in the Cape Town International Convention Centre (CTICC).
The Weskus Tourism team was in attendance to generate tourism sales leads, explore new markets, raise brand awareness and to foster new tourism relationships.
WTM Africa is Africa’s leading and only B2B exhibition for both inbound and outbound travel and tourism markets, presenting a diverse range of destinations and industry sectors to South African, African and International travel professionals.
Last week the Weskus Tourism officials hosted Executive Mayor Boffie Strydom, Speaker Cllr Kallie Louw, portfolio champion Cllr Colin Daniels and Municipal Manager David Joubert. This is part of the tourism unit’s objective to involve decision makers within the municipality when embarking on various tourism marketing and tourism development interventions.
The Weskus remains one of South Africa’s preferred tourism destinations and its diverse offerings makes it a unique selling point to the tourism industry.
The West Coast District Municipality thanked Jacqulene Melenephy, Melonese Raman and Verna Maarman for representing the municipality.
