WC cyclists gear up

Western Province Cycling Association and Myriad Events are hosting the 2022 Provincial Road Cycling Championships this coming weekend – Saturday 22 and Sunday 23 January. The event will take place at Perdeberg Cellars in Paarl over two days, the time-trial championships on the first day to be followed by the road race on day two. The riders in Elite and u-23 men’s categories will take on a challenging 158 km race that circles around the Perdeberg area before heading through Wellington and out towards Hermon and Riebeek Kasteel. The long climb over Bothmanskloof Pass will bring the riders back towards Perdeberg for the finish of the race. The race is open to all age categories, from u-11 to age 65-plus.
