Boland and WP Media, including their production hubs and DTP teams, celebrated remarkable work and outstanding results achieved over the past financial year.
At the annual awards ceremony team members were recognised for their hard work.
Madelie van Tonder, sales representative at Weslander, took the crown as Boland Retail Representative of the Year and Noluvu “Lulu” Ludidi, journalist at Weslander, came third in the Hard News category.
Such an achievement, says Van Tonder, means a lot to her and makes her realise once again that she is in the right profession, and after 23 years she can still provide good service and achieve her goals.
Her winning recipe to success is simple, she said, which is to thrive under pressure.
“Every month is a new challenge for me, and I set myself many goals and do not give up easily. My goal for the year ahead is to provide an even better service and improve on my previous year’s targets.”
Ludidi said she did not expect her recognition at all. “It came as a big surprise, but testament to the hard work I have put in and motivated me to continue doing what I love,” she said.
When it comes to her support system Van Tonder said her family stood firmly behind her and motivates her. “My husband and daughter as well as the rest of my family carry me through as well as my colleagues and friends and definitely my clients. I cannot single anyone out.
“I am very grateful I have people around me who believe in me and clients who have walked a path with me for years and with whom I have built close bonds.”
