Avid bird watchers are invited to participate in the SANParks Honorary Rangers West Coast Region’s Wader Bash Lite on Saturday 5 March.
A new one day format is presented this year, offering participants optimal spotting opportunities in areas in the West Coast National Park not normally accessible to the public.
This official Ramsar site of international importance with a wide variety of birds in the Park and around Langebaan Lagoon will give bird watchers the further opportunity to add to their bird lists. Experienced birders will be on hand at various points in the Park, to point entrants in the right direction.
Young and old can join in this unforgettable birding experience.
An interesting talk on the West Coast Coast SANParks Honorary Rangers West Coast National Park’s annual Pelican Watch will also be presented. All proceeds will go directly to seabird conservation in the WCNP.
The price is R250 per vehicle, with a maximum of five people. That includes early access to the Park and light refreshments. The meeting place is Geelbek Stables.
