To our Vredenburg police station I want to thank you for your great work in our area. In spite of all the criticism you endure we as the Ou-Dorp Neighbourhood Watch (NHW) see and experience what you are doing.
I witnessed how you stopped and thoroughly searched a vehicle with suspicious occupants. You obviously had good reason for this action because at face value the car and occupants fit the profile of characters who come into our area during this season and commit business robberies. We had it last year and year before. So I can understand our people are suspicious of vehicles with strange licence plates and occupants acting strangely.
Besides the above we as the NHW has experience almost every night over the last two weeks how quickly you respond to our calls in the middle of the night. We had breakings and attempted ones that were prevented as a result of your presence and helping our members.
Believe me this is not flattery as our NHW can testify.
We had response time of less than five minutes where a patrol vehicle pulls up to our assistance. So Vredenburg police we salute you.
