Stolen copper cable was found in a bakkie in the Lambert’s Bay area.


In another cable-theft incident that played out in the early hours of Friday morning 7 October, at approximately 03:30, a white GWM bakkie was spotted on the R65 driving without any lights on in the Lambert’s Bay area.

According to Captain Tania Helfrich, a spokesperson for the West Coast Police District, the vehicle was followed by the police, but it was later found abandoned. Stolen copper cable to the value of R123 000 was found in the vehicle.
