SPAR Nautica, which recently opened its doors to the public in the popular West Coast town of Langebaan, promises customers only the best associated with this retail brand – excellent product offering and service to the communities it trades in.

This is the second SPAR store in the bustling coastal town, and, as the town expands and the customer base grows, this store will build on the success of the established SPAR Langebaan.

“SPAR Langebaan has been providing exceptional service to the community for several years now and will continue to do so, along with SPAR Nautica,” said Carrick Janse van Rensburg, Retail Operations Director SPAR Western Cape.

SPAR Nautica is situated in the new, modern Nautica Centre in Langebaan, where there is ample parking, the focus being on convenience for shoppers.

The store carries an extensive grocery range and boasts SPAR exclusive concepts in the fresh and personal care departments.

“Our Food Stall carries a delicious range of hot foods and meals ‘to go’, along with other SPAR exclusive concepts such as Chikka Chicken, Fire & Grill, McCoy Pies, and a wood-fired pizza oven,” said Janse van Rensburg.

Customers can also enjoy coffee from the Bean Tree coffee bar, with an in-house barista-operated ‘bean-to-cup machine’ that offers great-tasting coffee at an affordable price.

Janse van Rensburg spoke highly of SPAR Nautica’s staff: “We at SPAR pride ourselves in offering our valued customers an awesome shopping experience, and our well-trained, friendly staff play a key and pivotal role in making this possible.”

The SPAR Nautica team is led by store manager, Errol Kaufman, and assistant manager, Allie Osman.

Regarding the store itself, he said: “It will be no different from any other SPAR store, offering excellent service to the community it trades in. We have an ethos of being ‘in the community, for the community’.”

SPAR stores are known for their fresh food offering in the produce, bakery, butchery, and home meal replacement departments.

“It is here that we really differentiate ourselves from our competition,” Janse van Rensburg pointed out. “Just over 20% of our store’s range will be made up of SPAR products that are exclusive to the retail brand and known for their superior quality and value, at a good price.

“SPAR’s essence is ‘It’s Personal’, and we endeavour to offer our customers a unique shopping experience with a personal touch. We strive to live out our values of family, passion, and entrepreneurship.”

As for future plans for SPAR Nautica, he said customers can look forward to the opening of TOPS Nautica in 2024 along with a boutique wine selection in the store itself once its liquor licence is granted.
