The Academy of Diving and Offshore Medicine in Saldanha, in collaboration with Fedrati and its owner, Mark Botha, proudly celebrated the successful completion of training by seven talented individuals from Hout Bay, Cape Town.
This was funded through the Transport Education Training Authority (TETA) bursary programme. These students have now completed their commercial-diving education, marking a pivotal moment in their careers and personal lives.
The graduation took place in Saldanha on Friday 14 March. The programme was about more than just acquiring technical diving skills. It has been a journey of personal growth, instilling discipline, resilience and a strong work ethic. The immediate impact of this initiative was clear — one of the graduates secured a diving job the very next day after graduation, underscoring the high demand for qualified commercial divers in the industry.
At the graduation Bridget Thomson, CEO of the Academy of Diving and Offshore Medicine, emphasised that the graduates should make their mark, dream big, unlock their true potential and the power and authority that lie within them.
