As part of World Plumbing Day on Monday 11 March the plumbers of the West Coast decided to give back to the community. Four plumbing businesses, including WFH Plumbing, H2O Flow Plumbing, AAA Plumbing & All and JCC Plumbing visited HP Williams Primary School to assist in fixing all their plumbing issues.
The initiative was driven by the Institute of Plumbing South Africa (IOPSA). It sent plumbers out to institutes, schools, orphanages, non-profit organsations and disadvantaged people to help with any plumbing maintenance work that needed to be done.
Lizé Hanekom of IOPSA said all materials were guaranteed and the plumbers did all their work at no cost whatsoever. “This is just one of the ways in which IOPSA helps the community,” she said.
Leonard Erasmus, principal of HP William Primary, said what had been done meant so much to the school, and it was very grateful to the plumbers for offering their time at no cost.
Freddie Austin of WFH Plumbing said it felt great to give back to the community, and to do so in no less of a professional manner. All plumbing material was also sponsored by Plumblink Vredenburg.
