Lupho Sangoni from Saldanha did it again, going on to represent the West Coast and Western Cape in the inter-provincial boxing tournament in Kuils River.
The tournament took place from Tuesday 5 October until Saturday 9 October.
Sangoni said the fights were tough. “I fought semi-finals in the middleweight category, and I lost,” he said.
Sangoni was placed third in the youth middleweight category in South Africa.
“I would like to thank everyone who sponsored and supported me, and a shout out to gorilla fighters,” he said.
The young boxer is currently waiting for the team list showing those representing South Africa in the All-Africa games in December in Lesotho.
