Crestabell Kamowa wants to make her dreams come true.

Dreaming big and taking a chance in life is what Crestabell Kamowa decided to do.

The Vredenburg High School learner always had a love for acting and performing, and decided to audition at the iPOP! biannual national auditions and delivered an outstanding audition.

She was then selected by the directors of DMH Talent Agency and scouts of iPOP Los Angeles (LA) to attend the iPOP! convention in LA this year where she will be learning more about the art of acting and the industry.

On receiving the news that she is one of 20 young people offered this opportunity Crestabell said she was in awe, extremely happy and excited.

“Coming from a small town, many do not have the opportunity to express ourselves and to show our talents,” she said.

“I want people to know that even though you are from a small town you can dream big and become something.”

Crestabell says acting means a lot to her and is a way of sending positive messages and making people aware of everyday things happening around them.

She said she is looking forward to meeting new people from different countries and different cultures, learning and having fun.

Making this dream a reality Crestabell needs the help of the community to assist her with covering costs relating to the trip, which includes her flight, accommodation and more.

She sees this as a great opportunity, one she wants to grab onto with both hands, and she wishes to encourage others that their dreams can also come true.

To assist Crestabell financially, please contact her on 070 317 133 or you can send an email to her teacher, Mandré Loubser, on Loubserm@hsvredenburg. co.za
