Last year’s tree-wrapping ceremony.

The street of Oostewal in Langebaan will be transformed into an avenue of hope, remembrance and healing on Saturday 4 October.

“The second annual tree-wrapping ceremony, hosted by Heavenly Haven Retreat (HHR), is more than just ribbons on trees,” explained Ruth McPherson founder of HHR, “it’s a love letter to every survivor, every fighter and every soul we’ve lost along the way.”

Each tree wrapped in purple, pink and blue carries a voice.

Purple whispers “recovery is possible”, pink declares “I am stronger than cancer” and blue cries “set the captive free”. “Last year, tears flowed and hearts united as strangers became family under the shade of wrapped trees.

This year, we gather again, not only to remember, but to stand together, fight together, hope together.

“Your fight is our fight” is not just a slogan; it’s a promise.”

Bring your family, bring your prayers, bring your heart.

Come and see the trees, feel the unity and be part of a moment history will not forget.

The ceremony starts at 10:00.
